How to Compress Video Files
We are going to use Handbrake – The Open Source Video Transcoder software that compresses the file size easily and fast and it also provides to change your video width and height to whatever size you want.
Step 1: HandBrake is available for multi-platform windows, Linux and for Mac. Now Click the following link to download HandBrake software. This link will take you to HandBrake’s official website. Where you get the download link to download file. When you click to Download button which I pointed in the following screen, It will directly start download HandBrake.

Step 2: Open the downloaded file and start to install it by clicking on Next button then I agree then Install and finish it by click on Finish button.
Step 3: Open it by clicking on Start button then click to All Programs then scroll down and find the Name Handbrake Folder and click to HandBrake.
Step 4: Now you opened the HandBrake software. Click to the Source button which is on the top of left then browse your video file and click to Open button. You can see the following screen there is the my video file which I am opening it. That file size is 287 MB and its duration is only 32 second.
Step 5: Now click Browse button to select the destination of your file where you want to save your video. After selecting destination You can select your Preset Devices which is on the left side. By default, it selects Preset select Regular which is Normal and its size is 1920 width.
You can also change your video width and height by going to Output settings. Within output setting you will get Picture Menu inside it you can see the size. There you can change width and height. Now you did setting all you want its time to start the converting video. Click to the Start button and it will take minutes for converting. The time of converting is depend of your video size.
See my video file size in the following screen. The size of my file now is 9.81MB he don’t thing that it will reduce you video file size as much. My my file size reduced as much because its duration is only 32 second.
But I can assure this software reduce your video file size as much that none of one software can do.
